Young Buck Once Again Claims He Ghostwrote for 50 Cent: ‘I Ain’t Seen a Check From That Sh*t’
50 Cent and Young Buck have been at each other’s throats again after the latter suggested the former masterminded their beef, which was allegedly fake. Fif has denied that his issues with Buck, which range from him owing money to targeted transphobic trolling, and now Buck has attempted to clear the air on an episode of the Big Facts podcast for Revolt TV. Speaking with DJ Scream and Big Bank, Buck asserted once again that he ghostwrote for 50 Cent.
"I wrote 50 music, bro. I done wrote full songs where you n****s is listening to 50 rap my words," said Buck, per AllHipHop. "Word for word. The n***a might change one here or a line here, but when you listen to the 'Too Rich' song, that's just off of my head, that's just one I inked from top to bottom." This isn’t the first time Buck has asserted that he ghostwrote for 50 Cent. In 2019, he released a pair of diss tracks directed at the G-Unit leader in which he made similiar claims.
"I done this based on the fact of, well, he liked the record so much, he felt like he needed it for himself,” he said, which prompted one of the hosts to ask if he received credit or money for his contributions. "No. No credit, no nothing for it,” he said. “Just like the 'Can't Lose' record that was released under G-Unit. I ain't seen a check from that shit and G-Unit released that."
Elsewhere in the interview the rapper, who claimed early in the inteview that he’s been mostly independent since leaving G-Unit, almost immediately got into the question of whether their beef was, in fact, real. “It was all really an assist,” he said at the 3:00 mark, adding that it was mostly a joke. “Honestly I don’t look at the situation as a beef. … He been trying me.” He went on to assert there was issues before Fif directed transphobic memes at Buck after he allegedly dated a trans woman, and it was always more than that.
