'I'm not going to hide' - PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe fires warning to Barcelona ahead of Champions League showdown
Mbappe has been a thorn in Barcelona's side before as he scored a hattrick against the Catalan side in the Champions League before. In 2021, Mbappe single-handedly gave the Parisians a 4-1 win at home in the first leg to all but knock the Blaugrana out in Lionel Messi's final season at the club. He has now fired another warning to Xavi Hernandez's side with their midweek clash fast approaching.
Talking to Telefoot, Mbappe said [via Marca]: "I am ready and, as always, I am not going to hide. Seeing the dynamic we have, I'm sure we're going to give it our all, then the result... It's in God's hands."
He also talked about the season being at a crucial point: "Like every year, we enter the crucial period of the season. At the end of April, we will already have elements to know what kind of season we will be able to have."
There has been a rather public falling out between PSG manager Luis Enrique and Mbappe over the last couple of months as the Frenchman refused to commit his future to the Parisians. Mbappe has been benched or substituted multiple times over the last two months and Enrique also joked the same could happen against Barcelona, his former club. Mbappe is linked with a sensational move to Barcelona's rivals, Real Madrid as a free agent.
Mbappe will be all geared up to show Real Madrid exactly how well he can perform against Barcelona when they take on PSG on Wednesday, April 10 at the Parc des Princes before heading away to Barcelona on Tuesday, April 16
