Roddy Ricch Returns To The Top Of The Billboard 200 With ‘Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial’
The Compton rapper accumulated nearly 95,000 album-equivalent units this week.
Roddy Ricch returns to the top spot on the Billboard 200 with his debut album, Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial. According to Billboard, his third nonconsecutive week at No. 1 racked up a little under 95,000 album-equivalent units. Streams helped Ricch leapfrog back to the top, as 92,000 SEA units comprise the bulk of his units.
The Compton rapper has shown his strength across the charts in recent months. Back in December, PEMFBA debuted at No. 1, beating out Camila Cabello’s Romance with 101,000 album-equivalent units.
In January, “The Box” overtook Justin Bieber’s “Yummy” on the Hot 100 after the latter artist promoted underhanded streaming tactics. The track’s reach was boosted by a TikTok meme that pointed fun at 30 Roc’s squeaky production.
His 16-track LP includes appearances by Lil Durk, Meek Mill, and Ty Dolla $ign.
Elsewhere on the chart, Billie Eilish’s takeover of the Grammys’ Big Four categories—Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best New Artist—boosted When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? seven spots to No. 3. The 18-year-old prodigy earned a 77 percent increase in activity, as she walked away with 62,000 album-equivalent units.
